MARCH

Yes, its already the third month of the new year, i don’t know what to do with myself besides my anal routine of organizing the entire month in my agenda, syncing it to all my electronic devices, re-running every single detail with highlighters and sticky notes, calculating projected goals, forecasting my outfits by details (color, texture, style etc), graphing my study time for my law school study sessions on a timeline, labeling choreography routines in alphabetical order, scheduling in meetings, workshops, events and last but not least listing where i am going to go this month with this blog.

Uptight much? very. I can’t start any month without doing this mad session of organization, if i don’t everything goes wrong and i feel like there’s a little balance machine in my head thats blinking bright red flashing lights warning me of being off-balance. If you think thats bad, you wish you could see me when a new year is about to start…

Anywho, i believe organization is the key to success, or at least just being happy with the outcome of your goals. Organizing is different for everyone and i would hope that none of you are like me, unless you enjoy feeling a shortage of breath from being “out of place” when you can’t even forgive yourself of being human just once because you forgot to sit and do your time planning. I just wanted to give a small list of advice if you are looking to pursue some time planning skills, If your the type to take a lot on your plate then i would urge you to set time aside to do plan so that you wont loose your mind.

Your List of Items to Get”

    • #1 Get a Monthly/Weekly Planner! (nothing extravagant, target will do!).
    • stock up on highlighters, post it notes, paper mate pens (my favorite) and white out.
    • Inspirational/Motivational Quotes Book (barnes and nobles had a great selection).

“What to Do With Your Items”

    • Planner: write down in the Month section important events, classes, work, due dates, birthdays, holidays, appointments, church gatherings, interviews, conferences, meetings, workshops, and any date you feel is of importance.
    • Supplies: I am telling you, DO NOT and i repeat, do not be afraid to use highlighters and post it’s. Categorize things with highlighters like work is blue, school is yellow, birthdays are pink etc. Post-it’s are there for side notes and things you do not have room for, use them up! And of course we ALL know what the white outs for so i’ll save my writing space.
    • Quotes Book: This is a MUST Have on my list, that is why its in this category, read and browse the book and choose your favorite quotes, at the beginning of the month write down your quotes around your planner, it can be at the top of your month section or even through your weeks. It takes motivation to stay on top of things! I promise this makes it so much fun!

“The Fun Things I Do” (Now we are at my favorite part)

    • Somewhere inside your planner write a list of the friends and family members birthdays and write “People to send a Card/Letter To”, it is important we keep in mind the special people in our lives and don’t forget to send them love. I even like to make a list of people to send Thank You letters or Post Cards when i travel.
    • Slash out dates, as soon as your day is over, pick a highlighter color to use the entire month to make a mark through the day, when you look back you will feel accomplished.
    • Next to Paying Bill Days i like to draw hearts and stars just to keep it cute, because i know i don’t like to look at the dates that says “car payment, phone payment, rent payment” etc. Sometimes i even put stickers!
    • In the boxes of my days off, i usually keep them completely blank just to keep everything open for anything that might come my way!

Well, thats all for right now loves, if i think of anything else at the top of my head i will Tweet it, you can follow me on Twitter Here. If you have any questions you can comment me below and i would love to help any way i can!
